Obituary of Douglas Miller

In loving memory of Mr. Alfred Douglas Miller who passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the age of 89.  Beloved husband of the late Mrs. Ann Newton.

He is survived by his daughter Marie (Peter Tuinema); his son Richard;  his grandchildren Kyle, John (Emily), Brian (Billie), Mark (Christina), Evan, Justin; his great grandson Gavin and by his sister in law Georgina Miller.

He is pre deceased by his parents Harry Leonard Miller and Margaret Helen Summers; his siblings infant brother Charlie, Fred & Ruby, Florence & Victor Welch, Leonard & Alice, Howard and Olive Miller.

He was born in the Township of Kerns on the family farm which he lived in till his passing.  Doug, Ann and sister Olive worked the family farm.  He also worked at Wabi Iron for 17 years then Terminal Manager for Star Transfer for 23 years.  In later years the farm land was rented out.

Cremation has taken place.  A private family graveside will take place at a later date where Doug and Ann will be laid to rest together at the Kerns Cemetery.
