Jeff and Family,
I just learned about your dad. Very sad to read about your dads passing. I remember your dad when hanging out at your house many years ago, as being a very down to earth, cool, and very friendly guy!!
My heart goes out to you all!
Warmest Regards,
Linda
Joe was a friend of my deceased husband Armand.I heard a lot of stories about them working in the bush.We lived on Con.1 Brethour Twsp. One day driving back from
my in-laws I approached the old bailey bridge ..drove up on the first planks, and looked across to see Adolph Gauthier waving at me to stop. The bridge was GONE.I sat stunned when suddenly a man came up the bank beside me.It was JOE JACKSIC! I was shocked when he told me his dump truck had gone straight down into the river. One little tip in any direction would have meant death. He lived a long good life
so I read here. How fortunate !
Nicole,
After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, we have happy memories that we’ve shared with your dad, this is what keeps him alive in our hearts and in our minds.Throughout our childhood, your dad would say "Jennifer it's your best friend Jean....to Jen---ni--fer get off that phone!". I'll never forget his voice.
We had a lot fun with your dad over the years, from taking rides on the loader around the neighbourhood, spying on him talking to the cats (which he would pretend were annoying but he truly loved), eating his mixed up soups cause nothing should go to waste, dipping into his Mogen David wine, laughing at his bunker of stored goods "just in case", going to town with him when he got a cut and a shave at Lou's, watching him putter around an old sewing machine making old couches look good, listening to old country music he had playing in the house (or even him listening to my silly made up ones), and, of course, teasing him for his crush on Queen E II, especially the frame picture you brought back when we went to Buckingham Palace.
All fun aside, he was a hard working, big-hearted and kind man. He loved Muriel and you all very much. I will miss him.
My condolences, may he rest in peace. Love always, your best friend Jean.
Brian and family,

Joe was a wonderful neighbor. We really enjoyed our little visits and talks.
He always took the time to inquire about how everyone was doing and what we were up too!

Sorry for your loss, condolences to all the family.
I'd like to offer my deepest condolences to the Jacksic family. I grew up down the street from Mr. Jacksic. He was a very friendly man who loved helping out his neighbors. We used to love biking by his place just to wave at him and say hello!
He was always smiling and would make sure we had the very best sand in our backyard sandbox.
We were truly blessed to have known such a wonderful man.
We were so sorry to hear of Joe,s passing. He was such a nice fellow.
We got to know his best when he attended the light and dark club in Haileybury.
After my Dad passed away he and my Mom were picked up by the same person to attend.
He always had funny stories to tell. Our sympathy to all the Jacksic family.
Our sincere sympathy to the Jacksic family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
