Obituary of Roney Toner

In loving memory of Mr. Roney Guy Toner who passed away at the Temiskaming Lodge on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the age of 79.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Herbert Toner (1990) and Viola Walsh (2001), his brother and best friend Tom Toner (2009) and sister Barbara Jones (2009).

He will be missed by his sisters Linda (Lawrence Aultman) and Patricia (Don Gibson), his sister-in-law Gail Toner and deeply cherished by his nieces and nephews: Jeffery, Carrie, Tracy, Kelly, Ken, Krista, Kim and Kate and their families.

Ron attended trade school in Toronto and successfully completed his mechanic apprenticeship.  He was proud to work alongside his father at the family owned Fina Gas Station in New Liskeard for several years.

He was a kind and gentle hearted man who loved to shoot the breeze. Some of his greatest passions were watching sports, mainly the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, reading biographies and discussing politics, and of course fishing.

Ron was deeply committed to his faith and family. He was a very special uncle to his nieces and nephews teaching some how to swim and drive. He also loved dogs and will be sadly missed by his pooch Milo.

Ron's family will receive friends and family at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 2 pm until 4 pm and from 7 pm until 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11 am from Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church.
