Georges Beaulac

Obituary of Georges Beaulac

Peacefully, on July 11 at the Temiskaming Lodge, Georges took his last breath. He is predeceased by his wife, Lucienne Vigneault, and infant children, Claire and Roger. He was the beloved father of Rose (Rheal Boisvert, deceased), Paul (Brenda Swan), Claude (Lucy Galea), Jean (Marielle Loranger), Jules (Ana Maria Valdovinos), Rhéal (Roselyn Wallace, deceased),  grandfather to Christine, Manon, Christian, Shawne,  Sasha, Sophia, Patrick, Francis, Chérie, Jérémie, Nathalie, Steve, Julie, Stéphanie, Benoit, Robert, Monique, Candace and Vicky, great grandfather to thirty two , and great-great grandfather to five.

Georges came to Timiskaming with his family when he was seven years old. He had many stories of his trip here, such as hiding in the box cars with the animals. He was a hard working teenager, working as a bushman at a very early age.

He met his soulmate Lucienne, and after some courtship they were married in 1945. Eight children followed from this union. Initially Georges farmed the land near Judge. Quickly he became known as a very good mechanic, so he opened shop in his garage in Belle-Vallée. Later,  he worked for different companies as  a heavy duty operator. He wanted to stay closer to home so he worked for the township of Casey maintaining the local roads.  When came retirement,  he and his wife  moved to New Liskeard in the Market Street seniors units. There  he worked as a security tenant for several years. Georges also loved gardening. His little greenhouse and garden would produce quite a number of vegetables and flowers. He was also a very devout man and extremely  passionate about his faith. For years, he brought communion to the sick and the elderly.

After his wife of sixty five years died and his health deteriorated Georges chose to reside at the Temiskaming Lodge.  We would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Davies,  the nurses,  PSW's and all the staff of the establishment. Georges would always say, "they take real good care of me here." We are very very thankful and grateful. Georges will be sadly missed.
