Jocelyn MacMillan-Pipe

Obituary of Jocelyn MacMillan-Pipe

Jocelyn MacMillan-Pipe passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 9 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Joc will be sorely missed by her husband Donald and son Alex. She is predeceased by her Dad Alf. Survived by her mother Elsie, sister Joan (Denny Morin) and their family, brother David and sister Elizabeth McLeod and her family. Joc will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and by all of Don's family.

Joc will be remembered as a kind, caring, generous soul who was happiest when she was chatting about Alex's successes with his birds, goats, sheep and school. One of the things she loved most was when she, Don and Alex could get away on a weekend to the Royal or to a bird sale or show.

Joc was actively involved with the New Liskeard Fall Fair. She was a tireless volunteer and the Director of the goats and sheep.  Joc lived her entire life on the farm and had a passion for horses, outdoor life and being by the river.

Joc was known for her talent in the kitchen, be it cooking, baking, pickling or canning. She could produce a meal like no other and got so much pleasure from all those Christmas dinners she so graciously cooked for so many people.

Jocelyn's family will receive family and friends on Wednesday June 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Perrin Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Thursday June 13 at Perrin Funeral Chapel.  Lunch will follow at the New Liskeard Legion.

If desired donations to the Temiskaming Hospital Palliative Care or Care Close to Home will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
