Obituary of Jacques Rivard

In loving memory of Mr. Jacques Rivard who passed away at the Windsor Metropolitan Hospital on Thursday May 2, 2019 at the age of 66.

Jacques will be missed by his long-time partner Francine Laferriere, his  children Marc Rivard (Elisha) and Janelle Rivard (Kevin Larkin) and (her ex-spouse Curtis Smith),  his grandchildren Ethan, Cameron, Jacques and Joëlle, his mother Cecile Rivard (nee Beaudry), his brothers and sisters Germaine (Jean Guy Roy), Louis (Laurette), Pauline (Jean-Maurice Gauthier), Rita (Gérard Lussier), Lucille (Normand Goudreault), Gilles (Suzanne), Fernande (Roger Cambray), Suzanne (Robert Lacasse), Laurette (Gary King), Lauretta (Côme Leblanc), Laura (Jean Bélanger) and Aline (Guy Lefebvre), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Roger Rivard.

Jacques was an integral part of the Rivard Brothers Construction Company which was founded by his father. He was a volunteer fire fighter for the town of New Liskeard for many years. He also enjoyed many hours of curling and socializing and supporting at the Horne Granite Curling Club.

The family of the late Jacques Rivard will receive family and friends at the Riverside Place, 55 Riverside Drive, New Liskeard on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 10 am until 1:30 pm. A mass will follow at 2 pm from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
