Obituary of Wilfred Hearn

In loving memory of Wilfred Hearn who passed away at Temiskaming Hospital on Saturday March 2, 2019 at the age of 80. He was surrounded with love by his wife of 60 years and his loving family.

Wilfred was born on November 21, 1938 in Uno Park, the youngest boy in a family of 13, to William and Rose (nee Baker) Hearn. He lived on the family farm until his health declined and he moved into town in 2016.

Wilfred wore many hats in his lifetime, but the one he wore best was the one of loving husband, father, father-in-law, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. Family meant everything to Wilfred.

Wilfred worked at many jobs throughout his lifetime including National Grocers, Casey Mine, Department of Highways/MTO, several construction companies, Pedersen Construction and retired from Ontario Hydro, all the while running the family farm.

Wilfred is survived by his wife Margaret-Rose (nee Marriott), daughter Rosemary (Maurice), Tony (Joanne), Darcy (Sylvie), Darren (Carol) and Arlene, 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Marie Aitchison, Joe Hearn, Marjorie Beach, Thelma Orton and Eve McLean. He was predeceased by many other siblings and in-laws.

Wilfred's family will receive friends and family at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Wednesday March 6, 2019 from 7 pm until 9 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11 am from St. Paul's United Church.  A luncheon will follow in the church basement.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul's United Church Accessibility Fund will be gratefully acknowledged
