Condolences
Shocked and saddened after learning of Jeannine's passing.
One of my first assignments when I came to this area in 1984 to work for The Temiskaming Speaker was covering an inquest in Earlton of a silo gas death. That's when I first met Jeannine who was working as a French-English translator for the proceedings.
Over the years, over the decades, I would see Jeannine and Ted regularly whether it be at the store or at a restaurant, or at some community event. She was always graceful and dignified.
Deepest condolences to the entire family.

Uncle Ted, Sean, Leslie, Michele and families - I am so very sorry for your loss. I have such lovely memories of Auntie Jeannine and her wit, her smile, her joy and her kindness. It was always great fun when you came to visit and I will treasure those memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
My sincere condolences Michele, Lesley, Sean and your families and Mr. Carragher. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during such a big loss.
Many fond memories of Jeannine and the store. May she Rest In Peace. She will be missed. Anne
Uncle Ted, Sean, Leslie, Michelle and families! It’s so hard to know that Aunt Jeannine has left and we are so very sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful lady with a terrific sense of humour. As a kid, I would always try to make her laugh and if I succeeded, I always felt like I had accomplished something! I eagerly looked forward to the Carragher’s visits to St. Lambert as well as visiting all of you in New Liskeard! My own family had the privilege of meeting Aunt Jeannine and Uncle Ted in March, 2007, when Marshella and I brought our four kids as well as Pepper, our dog to visit for a few days. It was an amazing time and one that I will always cherish! Aunt Jeannine had such a joie de vivre that was infectious the moment you met her. I will always remember how elegant she was, how delightful it was to be around her and of course, her wonderful laugh. Though she will be greatly missed, we will always have the sweetest memories of Aunt Jeannine! God bless the Carragher family, especially during this difficult time! Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you!

Uncle Ted, Sean, Leslie and Michele and families - I am so saddened to hear of Aunt Jeannine's passing. She was a wonderful lady - always with a ready smile and always so full of life and fun. I loved it when you came to visit, and when we got to visit you in New Liskeard - such fond memories. Malcolm and I send our heartfelt condolences and will keep you in our prayers during this difficult time.
Just found out and wanted to share how much I enjoyed your Mom. She always treated me with a sharp wit and a sense of humour. She always seemed to know I was hungry and that I couldn't eat some things. We showed up and left at different times and were always doing different things. She was always open and generous. You must miss her. When I think of New Liskeard, both she and your family are cornerstones to me. My heart goes out to you all. Sorry for your loss. Doug(ie) Bolger
Sending our heartfelt condolences to you and your family for your loss.
So very sorry to learn Jeannine has passed on.
When I was much younger and brand new to a sales job, I happened to try on a gorgeous, full length wool coat at Jeannine's boutique. The coat was far past my budget at the time but wow, it felt so great! Jeannine, knowing how much I loved it, insisted it was made for me, and that i must have it, and let me pay it down in small (tiny!) increments over a long (super long!) time. She knew it made the right impression, promoted confidence, and essentially helped me excel at my then-new career.
"Celebrate special occasions. Like today." was what she used to say. Her smile proved she truly meant it.
Thinking of all the Carraghers during this difficult time. I have so many fond memories from my childhood playing at the Carraghers house. Your mom always made be feel so welcome. I especially remember her beautiful gardens and her chocolate sauce for ice cream!
Sincerely,
Judy Lang (nee Seabrook)

Sean,Lesley, Michèle, Mr.Carragher, André..my deepest condolences.
You all know how much I loved Mrs. Carragher. She was a wonderful mother and wife to you all, a great mentor to me and what I loved the most about her is how she let me be a part of all your lives when I first met you in 1970. I became your babysitter, your gardener, your nanny while on some of your trips to Ste-Agathe and Montreal.... May the memories you have of her be a solace to your grief. Forever in my heart Mrs. Carragher. Lorraine
Our deepest sympathies Lesley, Michele, Sean, and family. She was a beautiful woman with a great heart and she has passed that down to you and your children. May she be at peace and watch over you.
Lesley and family: I am so saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. Over the years when your mom and dad would come in the office your mom always brought special light with that smile. That’s what stands out the most to me. She shared that light and that beautiful smile with everyone she met. And most of all she loved talking about her family, whom she loved dearly. I know someone in Heaven who will be greeting her with big hugs!

Jeanine was a beautiful, gracious lady. I enjoyed chatting with her when she had her store, and for years, whenever I ran into her while I was home visiting.
You are my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Lesley and family,
It is so very difficult to lose a loved one, regardless of age or reason. The photo that you chose is beautiful and a lovely way to remember your mom. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed life. Your mom presented herself with such grace and class. She will be missed in our community.
Sincere condolences.
