On behalf of Devil Lake Hunt Club, we want to pass on our condolences to the family of Gordon Carter. Gordon (Nick) was a long time member of our hunt camp and we have many fond memories of our times together. Nick had a favourite watch...the Armchair. During the hunt, if we heard one shot, we all knew it came from Nick--he rarely missed.
Nick loved the camaraderie of the hunt camp and enjoyed re-living and sharing stories of his earlier life and adventures. We are all better people for having known Nick.
Dear Greig, Linda & family
Sorry to hear of Gords passing, I have many fond memories of him. He will be missed.
Love JoAnne
Gord and Pat were two of my earliest clients and gave me great pleasure to spend time discussing their sons, their hobby farm and their travels. Once in awhile we did a little business. I will remember him as a gentle and caring soul who loved to travel and share their many stories. He was one of the people that made my job fun and easy, and encouraging. I know on my retirement that Lois enjoyed him every bit as much as I did and considered it a privilege to know him.
Blessings to his family

Gordon or Nick as we called him was a member of the same hunt club as I.
He and his old friend Newt Kincaid spent the first week of November at the hunt club enjoying tall stories and good food along with a little hunting for many years.
He was a fine man.
All the best to his family and friends.

My heartfelt tribute to an uncle that we all loved and admired for his love of life.
Dear Grieg, Linda and family. We were very sad to hear of Gord's passing but we feel very privileged to have known him and to have spent time with him over these many years. He was such an interesting man and we have fond memories of time together.

What a wonderful man Nick was to our family. I’m glad he lived so much.
I met Nick through My Papa and Nana. Nick had a lotta laughs and stories with them over the years and we had the pleasure of having many many family memories with Nick and his family. Sleepovers with a Heather and Laura at his place or our grandparents..especially New Year’s Eve and Christmas break.
I distinctly remember Nicks warm smile, and gentle eyes, He always smelled so fresh and always was dressed nicely -iron pressed clothes ready to talk and tell a story.
In the years after the death of my Papa Nicks presence was even more profound. He helped us more then he knew - especially at Holidays where he’d join us in the old Madoc house.
Since his move closer to family we didn’t get the opportunity to see him as much but his memories hold dear to our hearts.
My condolences to all who have had the pleasure to know him- especially his family we are thinking of you xo.
My heartfelt condolences to the family.
My sincerest condolences to Richard and Grieg and families during this difficult time. I remember your Dad and Mom from your years at the cottage on Rice Lake! I also took my Mom and Dad to visit your parents at the hobby farm when they left the cottage. Hold onto your beautiful memories. Jayne Atkinson
It is with fond memories that I express my deepest sympathies to Uncle Gord’s family. He was such a true gentleman in every way. He welcomed me into the family with a huge hug when I married his nephew and again every time I saw him after that. He will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.❤️
My condolences to the family. I was pleased to take care of your father on a daily basis. He shared many memories and enjoyed his sense of humour. He may be gone but will never be forgotten. Gord your dbl dbl coffee you asked for awaits you at the gates of heaven.
Dear Betty & family, Grieg & Linda and family; We are so very sorry to learn of dear Gordon's passing. I know that he was much loved and adored by so many. May he rest in peace and may God bless each of you.
