Obituary of Alfreda Gauthier

It is with great sadness that the family of Alfreda Gauthier (nee Paquin), announces her unexpected
passing at the Temiskaming Hospital on Sunday, August 19th, 2018, at the age of 81.

Devoted wife and loving companion of Noel Gauthier. They met each other late in life, but enjoyed a
marriage of laughter and fun for almost 28 years in their warm and welcoming home in Dymond
Township.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters - Lucille Plante, Diane England, Carole (Jake) Grant, and
Anne (Gui) Blanchard; her step-children: Pauline (Fernand) Lachapelle, Paul (Jacqueline) Gauthier,
Diane (Bruno) Blain, Lise (Chad) Gauthier, Richard Gauthier, Michel (Johanne) Gauthier, Joel (Carole)
Gauthier, Monique (Jamie) Favron.

She leaves behind her cherished legacy - her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren.Her infectious smile was always at its biggest when she could spend time with the
greatest love of her life – her family, in particular, her grandchildren.

She also leaves four siblings: Maurice, Gabrielle, Michel (Eudore) and Dominique Paquin.

Predeceased by her parents, Marcel and Marie-Marthe (Lupien) Paquin, siblings Veronique and Richer Paquin, her beloved son, Robert Blanchard, step-daughter, Yollande Yanta, former husband, Thomas Blanchard and son-in-law, Charles England.

Alfreda was a strong, independent and very hard working woman. She was proud and determined,
believing that things always worked out for the best. You could count on her friendly smile and
positive outlook on life – a true role-model.

A Celebration of Alfreda's Life will be held at Perrin Funeral Chapel from 1 to 3pm on Saturday,
August 25, 2018. Family and friends are invited to attend, reminisce, share stories, memories, and
enjoy some good food and good company. She would have liked that!

Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Temiskaming Hospital for their excellent care, in
particular Nurse Sheldon for his compassionate and extra-gentle touch - “Thank You”.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Alfreda's memory to a charity of choice will be graciously
acknowledged and appreciated.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que la famille d’Alfreda Gauthier (née Paquin), annonce son décès inattendue à l’hôpital du Témiskaming le dimanche 19 août 2018, à l’âge de 81 ans.

Épouse dévouée et compagne aimante de Noël Gauthier. Ils se sont rencontrés tard dans la vie, mais ont apprécié un mariage de rire et de plaisir pendant presque 28 ans dans leur maison chaleureuse et accueillante à Dymond.

Elle manquera beaucoup à ses filles - Lucille Plante, Diane England, Carole (Jake) Grant et Anne (Gui) Blanchard; ses beaux-enfants: Pauline (Fernand) Lachapelle, Paul (Jacqueline) Gauthier, Diane (Bruno) Blain, Lise (Tchad) Gauthier, Richard Gauthier, Michel (Johanne) Gauthier, Joel (Carole)Gauthier, Monique (Jamie) Favron.

Elle laisse derrière elle son héritage précieux: ses nombreux petits-enfants, arrière-petits-enfants et arrière- arrière – petits-enfants. Son sourire contagieux était toujours à son comble quand elle pouvait passer du temps avec le plus grand amour de sa vie - sa famille en particulier, ses petits-enfants.

Elle laisse également quatre frères et sœurs: Maurice, Gabrielle, Michel (Eudore) et Dominique Paquin.

Elle fut prédécédée par ses parents, Marcel et Marie-Marthe (Lupien) Paquin, ses frères et sœurs Véronique et Richer Paquin, son fils bien-aimé Robert Blanchard, sa belle-fille, Yollande Yanta, son ancien mari Thomas Blanchard et son beau-fils Charles England

Alfreda était une femme forte, indépendante et travaillante. Elle était fière et déterminée,croyant que les choses fonctionnaient toujours pour le mieux. Vous pouviez compter sur son sourire amical etperspectives positives sur la vie - un vrai modèle de rôle.

Une célébration de la vie d'Alfreda aura lieu à la chapelle funéraire Perrin de 13h à 15h le samedi,25 août 2018. La famille et les amis sont invités à assister, se remémorer, partager des histoires, des souvenirs et profiter de bonne nourriture et bonne compagnie. Elle aurait aimé ça!

Merci aux médecins et au personnel infirmier de l’hôpital de Temiskaming pour leurs excellents soins,l'infirmière Sheldon en particulier pour sa compassion et sont touché si doux - "Merci".
