I am deeply saddened by the loss of your mom. May fond memories of your mom bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. My heart goes out to you all. Auntie Ethel will be truly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her as I did. I love going to see your mom. I was never hungry when I got there but some how I was completely stuffed when I left. When I was home that was one of the trips mom and I always planned was to go see Auntie Ethel and she always had mom and myself laughing with her stories. I do know how proud she was of all of you. I know that when someone you love becomes a memory the memories become a treasure. I truly wish I could be there to help celebrate her life with you. We are blessed to have had her in all our lives. Love to you all Jenny
To Ethel's Family;
You will be in my thoughts and prayers today as you bid farewell to Ethel. May the sharing of this day at her Church, St. Paul's United, be helpful and reassuring to you.

Ethel has been a good friend to my mom for longer than I can remember. Most times when I called home , her name would come up in a conversation with my mom. While mom was taking care of dad during the last years, Ethel always made sure that mom got out of the house for at least a bit and they would gather at Tim Hortons. My family is so thankful that she has been a part of my mom's life.
Our hearts are with you all today as you celebrate her life. Feel comforted by the knowledge that she is once again, with her beloved Elroy and Wendy.

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Ethel, but I know she didn’t want to go “the home across the street!” I loved going to visit her whenever we would pass through the area. She would always welcome you with open arms and make you feel so loved. She always wanted to feed you, didn’t matter if you were hungry or not she would always make up sandwiches and other foods; you always left full. If we visited her in the summer we would eat on the back deck and she would tell us all about her beautiful flowers. If it was winter, her front porch was filled with pies and dessets. I will miss her and her Christimas card she would send Mom and I every Christmas telling us about where she was going to be that year for Christmas and how all her family was doing. She would send cutouts of newspaper articles on contests she had won. Most of the time she would send family pictures. Ethel was truly a wonderful and caring soul. I know she will be watching over all of you and is in the arms of your father and your sister Wendy in heaven. Hugs to everyone Love Janice
