Obituary of Rita Plante

In loving memory of Rita (born Loranger) Plante who passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on Wednesday, August 1^st, 2018, at the age of 82. Loving wife of 60 years to Jean Noël Plante.

Dear mother of Aline Plante (Daniel Lemire), Lucille Plante, Jean-Paul Plante and Hubert Plante (Tina Rinta). Grandmother of 9 grandchildren: Jason Lemire(Ann), France Ducharme(Wayne), Bryan Lemire(Rachel), Steve Ducharme (Nathalie), Michel Lemire(Nina), Marcandré Lemire(Tracy), John Plante(Melissa), Tom Plante and Benoit Plante, great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren: Felicia Osterberg, Danika Osterberg, Nathanyal Ducharme, Damian Ducharme, Emma Lemire, André Lemire, William Lemire, Adèle Lemire, Théa Lemire, Eve Trudel-Martel.

Predeceased by her parents Emathé and Julien Loranger and many family members. Rita will also be sadly missed by many sisters, sisters-in-law, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

She welcomed everyone in her home with open arms and home cooked meals. After marrying Jean-Noël, they were dairy farmers for many years in Hudson twp. Her main focus has always been to care for her family and organize the busy farming life. She also had many talents such as baking pies and making homemade donuts, knitting and being a seamstress. She was happiest surrounded by family members and loved ones. She was also part of the Filles d’Isabelle club for many years. Upon retirement from farming, she also discovered the joy of travelling the world with family.

Rita's family will receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 2 until 4 pm and from 7 until 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11 am from the Sacred Heart Church. Fr. Georges Hakiza officiating.
