Condolences
Dear Faye
I was unable to attend the visitation at Perrin's for Bob. I do want you to know that you and your family are in my prayers. Bob was always full of fun and always brought a smile and laughter with his quick wit and humour.

Condolences to the Young family.
So sorry for your loss of Robert. Our condolences to all the family.
Mr Young was such a sweet man. Always a pleasure to talk with him and his lovely wife. My condolences to her and the rest of his family.
To all of Robert's family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I remember Robert well from when I was young and would go and visit my grandparents Blanche and Wilfred Young in New Liskeard. He truly was a beautiful person. My heart is with all.
Laura so sorry for your loss. Will always remember Bob's big smile, loved his sense of humor. Condolences to you and your family.
Robert Andrew Young
On the morning of 8 February 2018, this world released him from his mortal coil. His health had deteriorated in recent years but he had led a good, fruitful life, impacting everyone who came in contact with him.
My memories of my Grandpa are many. He used to enjoy seeing what I drew as a child. He was musically talented, playing guitar, violin, mandolin, and probably others; he also sang, as my sister Laura has related. He was active - a true Scottish Young, he golfed, he curled, and he travelled. He was good with his hands, it seemed that nothing was beyond his understanding - he knitted, worked wood, was mechanically inclined; he built me the drafting desk I used at home throughout secondary school; he would tear down a car and rebuild it into a tractor or a dune buggy.
My grandfather was a veteran, proud of his service, yet not one to engage in flag waving. The stories he shared often had a good dose of gallows humour. I always got the sense that he was lucky to be alive, and thus my father and I. He would leave me fascinated with his harrowing tales; as I grew older I became aware of the effect these stories had on him, that there was always more to it. It indirectly encouraged my own service and simultaneously made me wary of my surroundings, but also always on the lookout for a humorous story out of a close call or such.
Grandpa was very proud of his family. All of us. He seemed particularly fond of my cousin Troy (who unfortunately passed away in '89) and myself, but he had a special place in his heart for my sister, Laura, his Tasmanian Devil - he seemed to take great glee in the pint sized, curly haired, platinum blonde tornado that she once was; he was also particularly adept at taming her fervour, often with music (as Laura has related, herself). His voice was deep and calming, his laughter distinct and infectious.
The world is a slightly smaller place this cold February evening.
We are sorry for your loss of a husband, a brother, a father, an uncle and our loss of a great neighbor. Our thoughts are with you at this time.
To the Young family: We want to express our sincere sympathy on the passing of your loved one. We jhave so many memories of Bob at the curling club, making music together. May he rest in peace, making music with Sarg and brother Ivan.
