Marian Ruth Mackey (Gamble)

Marian passed away peacefully at her home December 28, 2017 at the age of 77.

Marian is survived by her dear husband Jim, children Scott (Tammy), Heather (Scott) and her Grandchildren Alexander, Jacob, Duane James, and Amy; her sister Jean (Larry) close cousin John; dear friend Liz and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Earl and Norma Gamble.

Marian was born August 1, 1940 in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1961. She worked full and part time in various positions in hospitals in Toronto, Windsor, Stratford and New Liskeard ending her career at the Temiskaming Lodge in Haileybury. She enjoyed 44 years in her nursing career.

She lived for the enjoyment of spending time with her grandchildren. After retirement she had the freedom to attend education, sporting events and holidays as a family.  Mimmie is now "Guardian Angel" for her grandchildren Duane James, Alexander, Amy and Jacob.

As per Marian's wishes there will be no formal funeral service.

A private home service was held with the immediate family lead by Dr. Judith Visser. Her favourtire hymn was "Ill Walk with God", by Mario Lanza.

Cremation has taken place. The family will have an internment at Orangeville Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

If desired, donations to St. Paul's United Church in New Liskeard or the Temiskaming Hospital CAT Scan Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

She will be sadly missed by all those who lives she touched.
