Obituary of Bertha Schofield

June 22, 1938 - October 24, 2017

It is with sadness in our hearts to announce the passing of our beautiful mother & loving partner Bertha Marie Schofield on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 peacefully in her sleep in the Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard.

Born in Allardville, NB on June 22, 1938 and survived by her mother Angelique Roy and her father the late Germain Roy (1998) and sister to Jeanne Lacasse.  Loving mother to David Schofield (Anne Marie), Karen Hearn (Gary) and Glen Schofield (Lorie) and loving partner to Steve McMahon (dog Bella).  Adored grandchildren Amandah, Cody, Tyler, Jolene (Chris), Dylan, Rachel & Jenna.  Married to the late Alyre Schofield (1991) and later met Steve McMahon who has been the Rock of Gibraltar for mom throughout her illness.  A proud Acadian she will be sadly missed by many nieces & nephews and many friends. Bertha was a business lady and paved the road for many young women and very near to her heart volunteered for Hospice Windsor.  She was most proud of her precious gifts her children & grandchildren.  

Cremation has taken place per Bertha's wishes.  A memorial to be announced at a later date.  Donations can be made to the Hospice of Windsor.  S.W.A.K.
