Obituary of Freda Bowers

Freda Bowers died peacefully at the Temiskaming Lodge, with her son Peter at her side, on May 10, 2010. She was born in New Liskeard on August 22, 1934, to Frederick and Clarice Goddard. Educated in New Liskeard, she married Ronald Bowers there on October 11, 1958. Mrs. Bowers worked as a bookkeeper at McGuire's Garage/Jack Mathews and was then a homemaker as of 1972. Mrs. Bowers is survived by her husband Ronald; son Peter Bowers; daughter-in-law Jennifer Bowers; sister Anne Plaunt and brother George Goddard. She was predeceased by her parents and by her sister Sadie Staples. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard where the service was conducted by Reverend Micol Cottrell on May 14. Cremation has taken place. Many relatives and friends from out of town attended the service.
