Obituary of William Ivany

William (Bill) Ivany After a short illness due to cancer, William Ivany died December 30, 2009, at the Temiskaming Hospital. He was born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, on June 20, 1946, to Clara Harris and Ernest Ivany. Educated in Newfoundland, he moved to Cambridge, Ontario, in 1962 where he married Ghyslaine Brazeau on July 8, 1972. In 1989 they moved to New Liskeard and Mr. Ivany worked as a labourer and he was also the owner of Bill's Bargain Center from 1999-2006. His wife and family were his pride and joy. He was known for his passion of the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and boating. Mr. Ivany is survived by his wife Ghyslaine (Jill); daughter Kelly (Jason); sons Kevin (Kari) and Bill Jr.; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Steve and Clyde, and sisters Mildred, Lilian and Marg. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard with the memorial conducted by Kitty Miller. Cremation has taken place.
