Obituary of Leon Moreau

Léon Moreau After a seven week battle with cancer, Léon Moreau died at his home in Cane Township on May 6, 2009. He was born in St. Gedeon, Quebec, on April 13, 1931, to Urbain Moreau and Elia Champagne. Mr. Moreau is survived by his wife Desneiges (Venne) whom he married April 11, 1959 in Elk Lake; children Norman (Sandra), Benoît (Sherry), Guy (Juvit), Linda (Jason) and Luc (Lori); 15 grandchildren; siblings Monique (Florent Lachance), Prescille, Bertrand (Aline Marquis), Aline (André Préseault) and André (Gaétane Quirion); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Urbain and Elia; brothers Roger and Henri Moreau. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel with the service to be conducted at the Elk Lake Nativity Parish on Saturday, May 16 at 11 a.m. Cremation has occurred.
