May she rest in peace.

On behalf of the Sawyer family, I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Spencer family on the passing of such a wonderful, caring and genuine person. Aunt Fae was so good about staying in regular touch with my parents, Sue and Elton, over the years and they appreciated her very much. Until just a few years ago, they always knew there would be a birthday card mailed in plenty of time to arrive prior to each of their birthdays (and every year my Mom would be in awe about “Fae’s lovely penmanship”), as well as a phone call on the actual day. Reading about her beautiful birthday cakes in the obituary brought back a wonderful memory for me. During one of our visits to the cottage, Aunt Fae served the most delicious cake I had ever had. When my birthday rolled around in November, there was a knock on the door just before my friends were to arrive for my party. There was Aunt Fae, with a gift of a beautiful little jewelry box AND she had baked the cake that I had loved so much a few months prior. She made me feel like such a special and loved little girl on that day! I am thinking of all of you at this time.
