Obituary of Gord Lussier

November 26, 1944 - December 26, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gord Lussier, peacefully in his sleep, at Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard on Saturday December 26, 2020, at the age of 76. Gord (or Gordie to his close friends) was born in Hearst. Son of the late Freda Bubnick and Paul Lussier. Loving husband to Lenore (nee Kyyny), they met in Thunder Bay, married in Toronto and spent 57 wonderful years together. Cherished father of Geoff (Barbara) and Ian (Keli predeceased); Papa to his grandson Thomas (Sarah); and big brother to Bill (Brenda). He will be dearly missed by his many cousins and their families. He had a long successful career as a CGA accountant, in Hearst and in New Liskeard, and continued to assist clients with their personal and small business tax returns for many years after he retired. He loved fishing and had a passion for woodworking, curling, horseshoes, and home projects. While living in Hearst, the family spent many happy times at their cottage. There was always an adventure with Gord, whether it was one of the many fishing trips, hunting trips, or curling bonspiels that he was part of. Gord will truly be missed by all his friends and family members; but will certainly never be forgotten. The family greatly appreciates the excellent care he received from doctors and nursing staff at the Temiskaming Hospital and from the Home Care nurses prior to his hospitalization. Arrangements have been entrusted with Perrin Funeral Chapel. A burial and celebration of life will be held at a later date in Hearst.
