Obituary of Doriel Poupore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Doriel Poupore at the age of 84 at the Temiskaming Lodge on Nov. 4.  Predeceased by her loving husband Donald, her parents James and Violet Schubert, siblings Inez, Brian and Ralph and sister-in-law Pat.  Doriel is survived by her children Janice (Peter), Lennis (Tracey) and Tammy (Ken), grandchildren Alexis, Rebecca, Earl, Keri, Kaitlyn and Melissa, brothers Roy, Gary (Rosemary) and sister Norma (Clair), sister-in-law Susan, brothers-in-law Murray and Andy (Dot) and many nieces and nephews. 

Music was a big part of moms' life.   She played piano from the age of 8 up until her early seventies when dementia started to take over.  She played for various churches, many music festivals, weddings, funerals, dances, singing groups and sing-a-longs.  She also taught music and was secretary at Kerns Public School for 22 years. She was a long standing member of the Milberta Community Women.  Family was always first in her life.  She kept up-to-date with siblings and when presented with grandchildren there was no greater joy.

Visiting will take place at Perrin Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 from 2 until 4 and from 7 until 9pm.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, Nov.9, 2017 at 11am from St. Paul's United Church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Temiskaming Lodge or Care Close To Home.
